It’s crazy to me that we spend all this time in school, but nobody teaches us about money. I mean, I had one teacher who taught us about the stock market back in elementary school, and it blew my mind. That’s what got me hooked on it, and it’s been a driving force in my life ever since.
When I talk to people, they’re like, “Well, I just don’t understand these things”. It’s not your fault, because we’re not taught these things. You have to get past that.
Why You Shouldn’t Blame Yourself for Not Winning the Money Game
First. Don’t blame yourself. It’s like course not designed to win this game, right? We live in a society that’s designed to keep us in a box. We’re taught to work for others and not think about how to make our own money and have more choices.
When rich people talk about money to their kids, their kids learn how to make lots of money, too! And then their kids can teach their own kids how to do it, just like a family secret. That’s why rich families often have lots of money for a long time!
When rich people have children, they teach them how to make and keep the money. This helps the kids to make more money as they grow up, and they keep making more money as they get older. This is why we tend to hear about wealthy families passing down their money within their family more often than families who don’t have a lot of money.
Building a family legacy is a significant factor in the success of the wealthy.
Take Control of Your Finances Today: It’s Never Too Late to Start Educating Yourself!
Here’s the thing, though: it’s not too late. If you’re reading this, it means you’re already taking the first step toward breaking out of that box. And you are taking control of your financial situation. Let me tell you, there’s never been a better time to start educating yourself about money. If you’re not educating yourself, you’re not learning. There’s so much free information out there.
You don’t have to be a genius to get started. Start by turning off the news and ESPN and start watching CNBC every day. When I’m teaching, I give away tons and tons of free stuff. Listen to the Fight For Your Finances podcast, read my Fight For Your Finances blog, check out my Instagram, and follow what I’m doing.
You can join our mentorship program, you can be a part of last year and build your money machine with us. I also have a mentorship for people who want more hands-on guidance. For those who want to be a part of something and they want to meet up and, and sit down and talk about money. That’s my favorite thing to do.
If you’re not at that level yet, and you can’t afford something like Velocity, then just absorb all the free stuff that I give you. And please implement it. I know what’s going to happen if you listen and you implement.
And don’t just learn for yourself, teach your kids too. Talk to them about stocks, investing, about cool things like cryptocurrency. You never know, your kid might just teach you something that will blow your mind.
There are so many things you can go in and do. And somebody’s already done what you’re thinking about doing. So you can learn from them, follow them, read their books, and buy their courses.
But if you focus a little bit on your financial education, it’s going to change your life, I promise. Okay. So like we said, it’s not your fault that at this point, no one taught us this. The point is, don’t limit yourself.
Break the Financial Cycle: Transform Your Future and Generations to Come!
Going forward, I want you to break your financial cycle. Start learning about finances, investing, and building up equity. Build up all these things that are going to change your life, your kid’s life, grandkids. It’s just going to go on and on. And you’re going to be the one that broke the cycle and delivered for your family. And most of all for yourself. So you can enjoy things when you’re older.
That’s another reason why financial education is so important. I tell my son, it’s like, “Hey, dude, you’re not inheriting anything. I’m spending every dollar Mom’s going on vacations”. It’s important that my son learns from me and work hard to be successful on his own. I don’t want him to think that he can just take everything without working for them. So, he will learn to save and work hard to build his own things, too.
So by teaching him that, I feel better because if something were to happen to me, I’m not going to worry. I want him to have all the financial tools where he can build wealth far beyond what I’ve done. And we’re far beyond where I’m going.
So do the same thing.
It’s not too late to break the cycle of financial struggle and start building the life you deserve. Take control of your financial situation, educate yourself, and start building your own legacy.
